Axon' has developed a portable test bench in order to check databus network. It checks that the MIL-STD-1553 data bus networks have been properly cabled and have not been damaged during installation.

Construction

• Made with two independent modules (receptor & generator) working with a battery and a remote terminal.
• The generator module includes a waveform generator, electronic cards, a battery and a RF communication module.
• The receptor module includes a real PC working under Windows XP, electronic cards, a touch screen, a keyboard, batteries, a RF communication module and accessories.
• A remote terminal unit: a light on the remote terminal indicates if the test of the stub passes. This avoids coming back to the receptor module to see the results displayed on the screen.
• All is integrated in a transport suitcase with wheels and a handle. Dimensions: 524x409x350 mm.
• Mass: less than 30 kg.
